• Mridula attends the India Yeast Meeting (IYM) - 2025 in IISc, Bangalore to give a talk on the how divergent cohesin paralogs with distinct partner preferences at centromeres regulate fidelity of chromosomal segregation.

• The lab welcomes Gurjot, Om, Urvija and Rupal, who have joined for their semester projects.  

• Excited to have Sudipto joining the lab for his PhD thesis!

• Mridula attends the International Conference on Yeast Genetics and Molecular Biology in Paris, France to give a short talk on the divergent cohesin paralogs and their roles in regulating chromosomal segregation fidelity.

• Purva attends the EMBO Workshop on Meiosis: Exploring diversity to discover the fundamentals in Engelberg, Switzerland to present a poster on her work on understanding the functional replacability of cohesin paralogs during meiosis. Her travel was supported by PMRF.

• BS-MS students Reva (IISER Tirupati) and Swagotom (IISER Mohali) join the lab as summer interns. Looking forward to a great summer with them!

• Sucharita attends the 2nd Recombination Mechanisms Conference in Crete, Greece to present a poster and a flash talk on her work on understanding mechanisms of chromosomal mis-segregation due to centromeric recombination. Her travel was supported by Infosys Foundation Travel Award and DBT-CTEP Travel grant.

• iPhD students Radhika and Sudipto join the lab for their summer rotations. SPPU Master's student Kanchan also joins for a summer internship in the lab. We welcome them all.
