• MN lab gets the DBT-Wellcome Trust India Alliance Intermediate Fellowship on studying the molecular mechanisms contributing to differential loading of cohesin complexes in the genome.

June 2023

• MN lab gets the SERB-POWER grant on understanding the plasticity of diverse cohesin complexes during mitosis and meiosis.

May 2023​

• Bhavana (IISER Tirupati) is going to work with us for her 5th year Master's Thesis. We welcome her to the lab!

• Excited to have Gatikrushna (IISER Tvm), Ishan (IITM) and Aadit (IITM) join the lab as interns over this summer.  

• Gopika joins the lab as a project assistant. Looking forward to have her work with us!

• Lab alumni Ananya Dodamani joins Vienna BioCenter, Austria to pursue her PhD with Dr. Christopher Campbell (Max Perutz labs). We wish Ananya the best for this next exciting endeavour!

• Purva is selected for the prestigious Prime Minister's Research Fellowship. Congratulations Purva!

• Mridula, Sayantan and Purva attended the Yeast India 2023 meeting at IISER Mohali. Mridula gave a short talk and Sayantan & Purva presented their first posters from the lab!

• MN lab gets its second grant from DBT on understanding the molecular mechanisms of chromosome mis-segregation due to meiotic recombination at centromeres.

• Thara (Amrita School of Biotechnology, Kerala) joins the lab for her MS dissertation thesis.
